A chatelaine is essentially a fancy, decorated keychain that hangs from a waist chain, called a chatelaine belt. Before pockets, HBICs used to hang all of their tools on a chatelaine belt such as scissors, pencils, keys etc. 

Our chatelaine belts are designed for the same purpose. Simply hang any items from the keychain and clip it to your pants or bag.
